NEW HORIZONS STAGE in Hall B6
The war against Ukraine is showing us the vulnerability of our societies, in particular originating from dependencies on fossil energy. The answer to this must be to invest much more and much rapidly in a renewable future. Wind power and renewable energy in general are key in making our societies and economies more resilient. In particular Ukraine needs now urgently support in order to provide electricity access in the areas devastated by the Russian army. Relief and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine should be based on renewables with wind energy at its core. But also all other countries are paying currently a high price and need to accelerate the pathway towards 100% renewable energy.
Speakers from Ukraine, Turkey and the Netherlands will present different angels of the current energy crisis and what the response should be. As special guest, former ESC winner and Renewable Energy Ambassador Ruslana will call for renewable action.
