Malmö/Bonn, 13 June 2017 (WWEA) – The General Assembly of the World Wind Energy Association has re-elected Hon. Peter Rae AO for another two year term as WWEA President. The WWEA General Assembly took place in Malmö, on the occasion of the 16th World Wind Energy Conference WWEC2017.
WWEA President Peter Rae: “I am grateful to the General Assembly for this vote of confidence of giving me a second term as President of WWEA. During my first two years as President, many new projects and issues have been raised but some of them have not yet been completed. This further term will enable me to further these tasks in the interest of WWEA and in the interest of contributing to the global energy shift. In particular, I look forward to the results from the establishment of a Wind Energy Advisory Council which will enable us to reach out to a wide cross-section of people with relevant experience in finance, construction, public relations and other related issues.”
