20th World Wind Energy Conference
Collaborating for a Renewable Future in Peace

Rimini/Bonn/Rome, 18 May 2022 – The programme of the 20th World Wind Energy Conference WWEC2022 has been published today. WWEC2022 is hosted jointly by WWEA and ANEV featuring the theme “Collaborating for a Renewable Future in Peace”.
Speakers from Italy and from around the world will discuss how to jointly build a better world and will present latest achievements and state-of-the-art technology, in 24 sessions. Leading experts and high-level representatives from governments, from international organisations, from industry, academia and civil society will be sharing their views and latest achievements.
Topics of the sessions range from wind markets around the world, technology innovation, offshore wind and small wind, policies in Italy and Europe, community energy and community engagement, digitalisation up to wind resource assessment, hydrogen or storage systems.
New business opportunities evolve in the Mediterranean in particular in the offshore wind sector, from the shift away from gas and other fossil energy sources, going hand in hand with hydrogen as new energy carrier. Both topics will be highlighted in several sessions.
